Justin, TX (May 27, 2020) — A crash at a highway intersection in north Fort Worth left a teenager dead on Tuesday night. The accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Texas 114 and Farm to Market Road 156.

According to Fort Worth Police, a red truck was passing another vehicle when the lanes expanded from two to three on Texas 114. The red truck then hit a gray car, killing the 19-year-old driver.

Police identified the victim as Evan James Kriese, a 2019 graduate of Northwest High School. The Northwest Independent School District was holding several high school graduations on Tuesday night at the nearby Texas Motor Speedway.

Officials are still investigating the crash. So far, no charges have been filed and it is unclear if speed or impairment are factors in the accident.
