Houston, TX (April 10, 2020) — A five-car accident on I-45 North Friday morning left two people dead and three injured. The accident happened on I-45 at Rankin Road around 1:30 a.m. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Anthony Alvarado was towing a black trailer with his red SUV south on the freeway when he got a flat tire. As he was exiting the freeway, a gray Mazda 3 crashed into his trailer and flipped sideways onto the freeway. Police say that another driver, 29-year-old Tyler Vail, tried to avoid the crash.
